  Advisory Committee
  The Advisory Committee is responsible to provide initiative, direction and leadership to the CAFV membership and the joint management committee.
It is to:
-report progress to the Coordinator and Mangement team from the committees.
-act as a formal link between the Large Group and the Committees.
-bring issues and concerns forward from the Large Group to the Management Team.
-act in an advisory capacity to the Management team as required.
This is a working committee.
Meetings are held at least quarterly and as required.
 
  Child & Youth Committee
  The Child and Youth committee was formed in 1995. This committee is concerned with creating opportunities for awareness and education for healthier children and youth in our community.
 
  Elderly Abuse Prevention Committee
  The Elderly Abuse Prevention Committee was formed in November 1999. CAFV decided to create a committee to raise awareness about the issues of abuse and violence experienced by older people. Abuse of elderly community members continues to be under reported and this committee would like to see legislation in place to encourage their safety.
 
  Ending Violence Against Women Committee
  The Ending Violence Against Women Committee was formed in 1995 as our first committee. This committee is concerned with issues of violence against women in our community. It creates awareness and education about relationship violence and the need for all women to continue to work against systematic violence.
 
  Large Group Committee
  The purpose of this committee is to share with each other the work that is being done in the area of family violence. Also, it provides an opportunity for people working in the area of family violence to network and build partnerships within the community. Four large meetings are held each year.
The large group is responsible to bring new people interested to CAFV. The Coordinator provides them with an orientation and orientation package.
The large group:
-participates in an annual planning event in order to develop a yearly work-plan with the other working committees.
-is responsible for scheduling of activities to ensure that the CAFV portrays a consistent violence-free message throughout the year.
-will have a rotating chair.
 
  Management Committee
  The Management Committee will provide the overall direction, mandate and activity undertaken by the CAFV. They provide leadership for the committees and work closely with the advisory committee. This committee is made up of two members, one from the Cooperative Health Centre (Director of Community Programs) and one from the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region.
